I wanted to create a page with the illustrations of my grandmother Violet M Williams and the children’s books she wrote.
These a a few of the covers
What a lovely memory of Aunty Vi.
Hi there, I just came across your page while researching a book illustrated by your grandmother. I’ve been unable to find another copy of it anywhere and wonder if you know anything about it. . It was published by Raphael Tuck in 1953/55 and is a ‘look through’ version of Goldilocks. I hope to feature it on my blog at some time and will also be listing it on my website.
Hi Barbara, I haven’t forgotten about your request. The family seem to be missing some of granny’s books and we are in the process of trying to locate the rest of the stash. Fingers crossed.
Hi Barbara, Thank you for your comment. I think I remember seeing this book in our collection at my parents house. I will have a look around the 10th August and hopefully be able to give you some more information regarding this book. Christina.
I have been working on a Remediation Assignment for University and I chose a picture book that was illustrated by Violet M Williams. I have tried to put the link here for you to look at it.
Oh that is really lovely! Yes I was given that book by granny when I was little. So glad you enjoyed it. : )
